Hope Heals - The Story of Katherine & Jay Wolf

In April of 2008, at the age of 26, our friend Katherine Wolf suffered a massive brain stem stroke in her home in LA while her infant son slept in the room next door.  She was not expected to live or recover, but she did both.  Katherine has re-learned to eat, to speak, and to walk since her stroke.  She has learnt how to be a mother to her son. Many other obstacles remain, from double vision to deafness, facial paralysis to lack of fine motor coordination in her hand, even a small brain aneurysm, and yet hope remains also.

This short film is Katherine, Jay & James' story.

Watch it.

Be inspired.

See their hope.

Learn that even today God performs miracles.

Katherine and Jay were our small group leaders at our church in LA, Bel Air Pres. Just days before Katherine's stroke we were with together talking and learning about what makes a marriage strong, enduring and loving. Katherine's stroke was a huge tragedy and all the members of our Young Marrieds group were shocked and heart broken.

Katherine was young. Katherine was a mother to a new baby. Katherine was energetic and full of life. How and why did this happen to her?

But Katherine's survival, and more so, Katherine's recovery has been an indescribable inspiration. Of hope. Of God's love. Of God's power.
